Wont let me take a med early

Wont let me mark a med taken until after its due, its a med to be taken in a 2 hour span. I want the reminder so I cant change it to as needed. It always shows missed because I take it early then dont have my phone when the alert goes off. Wish I could adjust the leeway. Looking for an app or solution that allows this.
